Fees & Payment
Let’s not beat around the bush - price is going to be a factor for most people when they are looking for a therapist. Our goal is to keep our fees as low as possible as we believe Mental Health should be a right, not a privilege.
Cancellations
Life happens, we get it. If it looks like you are going to miss your session, we ask that you give as much notice as you can so we can try to fill the space. If you are cancelling within 24 hours, we reserve the right charge 50% of our rate if we cannot find a replacement client. If you do not attend without notice, we charge the full rate as that time is set aside for you. If there are extenuating circumstances, we can discuss these as our primary intention is to have you in session.
Session Fees
Individual Session – $121
Whatever service you receive, on a 1:1 basis, it is charged at $121. You get 50min of our time and 10min admin time in this offering. This can cover an initial assessment, treatment session, or coaching sessions.
NDIS Individual Session – $121
This is more of a clarification than anything - even if you are funded by the NDIS, our pricing will be the same. This is specific to Individual and Plan Managed clients at this time. Let’s get your budget going further!
Job Services Provider Funded - $121
If you are a Jobseeker, you may have access to services funded under the Employment Fund or Employment Assistance Fund, which can cover the cost of mental health services, among other things. This could make the services cost you nothing.
Health Funds
Some practiontioners at T.H.E. Psyborg have health fund provider numbers, and this can change over time. Please be sure to clarify your need before attendance. We are all eligible to deliver services under the Employment Fund for Job Seekers, and to Individual and Plan Managed NDIS clients.
Medicare/Mental Health Care Plans
We are not eligible for Medicare registration, so we cannot provide medicare rebates. Our rates are based on the gap payment so hopefully you find this suitable. As we cannot bill to Medicare, you do not need a Mental Health Care Plan, either. In fact, you don’t need to speak to a GP at all. I prefer it as the GP is the centre of health care in Australia but if you don’t want them involved, I will respect that.
